You got a good one?! Oof! I'm jealous... I bought a whole bunch of TV dinners the other night, and when I tried one, it was really bad! ...I do not know the trick to good grocery shopping here, I guess.
Oh, really? That sucks. Some of the brands are really, really gross.. like, most of the store brands. And some foods just don't transfer well to microwaving, like.. I find lasagnas and alfredos don't do well.
I mostly buy the Swansons brand. Turkey, or chicken. And Stouffers makes a really nice macaroni and cheese, too. I suggest trying to those.
If nothing else, if you have your receipt, maybe you can try returning the ones you bought a bunch of? They shouldn't ask questions. You'll get the hang of shopping here soon. I only know a few good things because I'm a sophomore; my girlfriend still does most of our shopping, I'd screw up on my own..
Oooh... I see! Store brands are sneaky! I bought them because the picture on the box looked really good... But when I opened it, it looked nothing like the picture. I think I'll try the ones you said from now on, thanks! ♥
You're lucky... to have someone that does shopping for you. It'd be easier on me if I didn't have to make such choices for myself! I could mess up cereal somehow, I could!
Store brands are totally sneaky. And yeah, the box pictures will always look nicer than the final product. Just like when they show the burgers on the fast food commercials and stuff. Sometimes they look bad, but taste good, though. Once in a while. I still recommend Swansons though. Plus, they're on sale at Superstore, and that isn't far from campus, there are a couple of them in Aysel.
E-Eh? I guess I am. I'm lucky to have her for.. lots of reasons, heh. The shopping is just like a bonus. You'll catch onto making choices soon, I'm sure of it. It's like an acquired skill or something, right?
