LOVE "roll of thunder." also LOVE "the outsiders." The other "roll thunder" books are good too-- on eis "Let the Circle Be Unbroken."

Oh my goodness, teachers get to paint their rooms. so nice! I love what you are creating. I wish you good luck! Maybe I can come and read a poem if you have a cool class you like, who likes reading. I dunno, just a thought.

Gird your loins if you do The Golden Compass, because if the kids decide to read the whole trilogy on their own and the parents find out what a main theme is... well. Some parents (this being a Catholic school and all) are really not going to be happy. And you'll probably get some shit for The Giver, too. Both great choices, though.
