Time is funny like that. I can remember being a child and time passing so slow, hardly unable to wait until I was no longer a child and could do what I want without parents being involved. And now that I'm an adult, I really want to go back to being a kid without my responsibilities. My mother sometimes tells me that she's sorry she didn't appreciate my childhood enough. There'll probably never be "enough" appreciation, but recognizing it and appreciating it all the more put you ahead of about 80% of the population.
No sounds of small feet running up and down the hallway, no small messes to pick up after and no fights to break up.Oh, this will never end. =D I'm third of seven children, and all of us were home - 27 at the oldest, and 15 at the youngest. Although the feet running up and down the hallway weren't small anymore, there were still messes to pick up after and still fights to break up. Ain't that the truth! I constantly say, "I wish someone would punish me!"
It would be a luxury to be forcibly sent to bed. I would likely get on my knees and start praising them for such 'punishment'.
