So Meg and I are lookin' for new digs. The lease is up at the end of February and she has impressed upon me that it may well be the living arrangements that have turned my attitude so sour on the Seattle area

maybe you missed my comment to your last post? just in case, here it is:
Happy New Year!!
Let's get together, yes? Oh my, I'd love you to meet my Lama. He's teaching again once a month in Edmonds, usu. mid-month on a Sunday. Where are you located?
Seattle is wonderful! Have you been in Seattle proper?
I'm sorry i didn't reply to it... I didn't miss it, I just missed replying and then forgot it. My job takes a ton of my time but I NEED to make time to meet up with you after all of this time.
I'm not far from Edmonds. Is you lama a Shambhalla teacher? I'd love to sit with ya'all when free. Where does your lama teach? I am sometimes free on Sundays, well... free-ish.
We have been in Seattle several times. Mostly as tourists, but my son has a membership to the Pacific Science Center so we often head downtown for things there. I'm a suburbanite though, mostly and learning many valuable lessons about prioritizing a need for meeting my obligations as a householder to my family and juggling practice, music and a personal life alongside that.
More adventure...
More opportunity for coming to understand what it means to live this life...
Perhaps we can meet up for a bit o' dharma on a Sunday or cofffee, etc? I have commitments every other day of the week...
It's amazing that where you live can really affect how you are living. I hope you find something much more suitable to your family. Curmudgeon is a funny word heehee
No, he's not a Shambhala teacher. His name is Lama Tashi Namgyal. His root guru is Kalu Rinpoche and other main teachers are Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, H.H. Karmapa, Khempo Tsultrim Gyatso, Thrangu Rinpoche, etc.. He did two three year/three mos retreats, one w Kalu Rinpoche, and is realized. He's teaching next Sunday, the 16th, in Edmonds. Can you come? I'll pick you up and bring you, if you'd like. Starts at 2 pm. Say yes! :))
