I need to learn how to do screencaps from DVDs.

I am dumb, so I don't know how to do this.

please someone give me pointers.

I have a Mac, so it's diff than if you have a PC. Basically, I just do a the ol': shift/snowflake/3 (hold them at the same time) and it screengrabs the entire screen. Then I crop it in photoshop. Viola.

You have to turn of hardware rendering and then it should be just like taking any other screen cap.

A bit late on the message, but I don't look here often. If you use PowerDVD, a fairly easy to find piece of software, there is built-in screen cap function. Not really some small-time piece of software either, if you're unaware of it. Used to come with most of the dvd drives I put in computers. Probably still does.
