A memory. A holiday dinner. A Jewish thing on the edge of the country with a family I can't seem to like. That entire period, working for that guy, was awful. The levels of sexism endured at that workplace were nearly absurdist. It's been a couple of years. They still owe me severance and I don't even care.

Mm. There are certainly some times when writing off a debt has a lower personal cost than having to deal with that party again.
