Happy Pi Day!

Mar 14, 2007 07:49

Hooray! Today is 3-14. I'm bringing 3 pies into work, to be served at 1:59:26, and trying to convince everyone to eat pizza (pie) for lunch :-) It is also Einstein's birthday. So many holiday's are an excuse to eat cake and cookies, but this geeky holiday is an excuse to eat pies! And I was able to get my pies from my favourite source- the ( Read more... )

That level of geekiness is delightful. I am intrigued by this Pi day, and would come up with some kind of delicious meal in tribute if I had any cash whatsoever at all. Instead I'm totally rocking the buttered noodles for the next couple days.

This is red-headed Physics Girl here. I am again ashamed to have forgotten about pi day. I unfortunately have no pie to celebrate with.
Thanks for reminding me of this festive and momentous occation.

In the spirit of geekiness:
A constant function and an exponential function (aka e^x) were walking down the street when a differentiator approached them. The constant function coward in fear.
"Don't let him got me. If he does I'll be gone forever!"
But the exponential function was not afraid. He strutted up to the differentiator in a macho (but geeky) way and said to the differentiator, "I am exponential function so you can't hurt me. If anything you will make me stronger."
The differentiator looked down at him and said, "Hi, I'm d/dy"

hahaha. If you didn't think that's funny, I'm sorry but Physics girl must diagnose you as not geeky, but please feel free to enjoy pi day anyway!
