If his scores allow him to do so (which I think they will, he's not stupid) Galen wouldn't start work full-time until the latter part of the month, because Mum doesn't to overwhelm the poor bloke and scare him out. That's a smart move, because I'm not entirely sure Galen would be as thrilled to work here as she is about having him work here, which is completely understandable. There is a lot of family in this department and they're all liable to drive you mental on any given day.
I'm not entirely sure where she is going to put him if he does start things full-time. I think what the ideal plan is is to rotate him around the different departments so he can get a feel for it again (basically what he did last summer) and then place him in the department that either he likes the best or there is the most need for an extra body. As of right now, I think there are more openings in the Floo Department than anywhere else.
It'll be interesting, whatever ends up happening. I hope we can get along in the work environment. If he gets here and stays.
With the World Cup coming up very, very fast, things are incredibly busy around here as the precautions are put in place to make sure people safely get to and from Japan. I've had my share of Asia, I think. I'm perfectly content here. And if here is bad, the Floo Department is even worse, as I know people are looking for International Floo privileges left, right and centre.
All I can say is, thank Merlin the worst of the war is behind else, or else there would be even more concerns to deal with. Security is huge right now, needless to say. I think it'd be even worse if the World Cup was here.
I think the latter part of August looks good for a holiday. Ali, what do you say?
My little brother comes home from Hogwarts for good tomorrow. I am so proud. And frightened.
