Kaito leaned against the doorway to the kitchen, impressed. "Hope I'm not too early." He said, abruptly, smirking. He wasn't going to make some excuse like 'the door was open and no one answered' because that was pretty stupid since it hadn't been and, well, he didn't even knock. "Looks good so far."

He held up a bag of stuff he thought to bring over. "I bring sugar, for those of us who need it, and plenty of chocolate. Dunno if it's the same as our world, but it looked like it'd taste good."

Masaru, having nothing better to do, decided it would be best to come to this party. The only kinds of parties he ever went to were birthday parties, so he really didn't know how to dress. He came in jeans and a black t-shirt with a red sleeveless vest over it.

Looking around, he noticed another that had brought food. "Was I supposed to bring food? Dammit, someone should have told me..."

Kaito shrugs. "Well, I just brought snacks of my own will. If there was a memo, I missed it."

"Really? OK. I guess I won't feel guilty when I dig in, hahaha!" said the boy, laughing loudly.

The first guest! Draco felt butterflies in his stomach sa he turned to see who it was.

"You're not early at all, and thank-you for bringing erm sugar... I appreciate it." Draco hoped he'd caught himself in time to be polite. But what a strange kid! Why would he bring such sweets? The chocolate didn't hop away when you opened it, and there weren't any trading cards. Maybe it tasted good?

"Come in Kaito-kun, you may leave your jacket in the spare room there," Draco pointed left, "if you wish."

Smiling, the blond watched the rooms slowly fill. People were talking over the music. He hoped they would dance later. He hadn't danced since the Yule Ball, and that had been so stuffy and formal. Oh well, there was the whole night to get people into the right mood.

Kaito looked Draco up and down. Young. Definately a rich kid. "Guess it pays to be pure blood." He caught on quickly. Getting rid of his jacket he came back and found a free space to arrange the sugar. Then he thieved a few interesting looking candy bars for himself and glanced around.

People were arriving quickly. It appeared that everyone was either looking for somewhere to relax after the semi-hard time or were just coming to party. Which was fine too. Absentmindedly, he switched the chocolate from hand to hand, making it look like it disappeared each pass. "You're popular." He grinned.

Grinning at the smaller boy Draco caught the corner of his eye. Under his breath he muttered, "either I'm popular or I know how to blackmail. Same result anyhow."

Draco looked around the room. It was true, there seemed to be an ok turnout. Not amazing, but he'd made some grudges, so not bad.

The way the village had become so eerily quiet overnight was not a welcoming change for Kakashi, especially since his comrades, Naruto and Sasuke, were no longer around. He wasn't fond of the idea of being trapped on an island while who-knows-what was happening back home.. or wherever Naruto and Sasuke had gone to. Even Renge hadn't shown up at the bookstore in days.

His shift had just ended and Kakashi was on his way home when he passed Draco's house. He didn't know the wizard boy very well, but somehow he'd gotten an invitation from him for a party.

Kakashi paused. Should he check out this party or go back to his lonely, boring house? Hmmm, I should really find out who's still around these days.. he thought. Turning around, he approached Draco's front door (which was open just a bit) and stepped inside.

"Yo. Is this the party?" There were already some guests inside, but he immediately noticed that neither Sai nor Sakura was among them.

"Yes, Kakashi, this happens to be a party. Are you coming in?" Draco said as he noticed shimmery silver hair hovering near the door. How unlike the rest of those ninja-folk, most of them seemed the type to barge in...

"I'll fix you a drink ok?" Draco continued when he saw the nin searching out the guests.

Normally he would be the type to barge in, preferably via the window, but only when he knew the owner of the house well enough to not care whether they appreciate it or not.

As Draco greeted him, Kakashi stepped in further from the door, but not before checking to see how many guests were wearing shoes in the house. Somewhere he'd heard that Westerners actually preferred it when guests kept their shoes on rather than off.

"Thanks, Draco-san," he replied, nodding once at the blond host. Maybe he could use a drink.

Sai looked at his invitation and up to the house again. He hoped that this time he wouldn't run into an empty house (the third one) this time. A relieved sigh came when he noticed the guests.

"Good evening" he greeted from the door.

Masaru recognized his partner from the snow ball fight. It may have been a while, but how could he forget a partner from a fight? He turned towards the other, his mouth stuffed with food.

"Yo!" he said, semi clearly, no thanks to the food in his mouth.

"hey" he greeted and smiled when he recognized the person he was talking to "having a feast I see".

Masaru smiled and nodded, swallowing the food in his mouth and replacing it with more. "Yoo shood 'et 'some 'ood behore I ea' it all!" he said, it mouth even more food of food than when he greeted the other.

Mai arrived later than many of the others, mainly because she worked a shift at work from morning to late afternoon and had to deal with some less than agreeable customers -- if only she didn't have to turn in her knives to the team leader every shift, then those whiners would've gotten a taste of something... As soon as she reached home, she passed out for three hours, a rather pleasant sleep. When she woke up, she suddenly remembered Draco's party would start in fifteen minutes and...lied in bed for twenty minutes longer. The sleep was so nice and filled with thoughts of a certain Fire Nation prince she contemplated skipping the party. Then she realized she'd be doing nothing but sitting at home being bored as usual if she did, and finally got up and got ready to go.

When she got there about fifteen minutes late, it seemed to her no one noticed or cared, despite a latecomer probably being easier to spot in a party of eight other people. "Hm, some party," she remarked in her usual monotone. "Is this really all who's coming?"

Masaru turned towards the girl, his mouth full of food and shrugged. He swallowed what was in his mouth and responded to her. "Maybe we're all who's left? That would kinda suck though. Damn...this place is getting less and less exciting. But hey, at least the food is still good, right, right?!" hey said, laughing afterwards.
