So, this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqT2uOa1-d0 ) came on my playlist whilst I was drawing and I haven't been able to get the idea of destroyed cores out of my head. I am NOT asking for a song fic, but more the idea of the corrupted/partially destroyed cores accepting death/shut down. Androids are fine too, though human might be veering towards a bit too depressing, even for me! Whichever, I want to bleeeed teeeears man, go wild with whatever else. I guess it's not particularly kinky, but you could add some serious H/C/sex before dying if whomever feels like adding pairings (of which I am good with all and any of).

Bonus scribbly art done after the idea hit me (inspired both by that song and another from that soundtrack "It's a B-Movie"). Sorry they are so light, my scanner hates me, and they are but pencil.

my face looked kinda like Chell's in that second pic. This is so... creepy. in an incredibly good way, mind. There's a lot of impact and a very visceral feeling of horror. kudos times forever!

Just for having me remember that movie, have a comment-box fill written late at night by someone who knows little about psychology or the 5 stages of grief. I'm pretty sure I messed up the Anger stage and I hardly gave Space enough attention. And I'm pretty sure that I messed up characterization. I'm going to go hide in a bit of shame now.1

A comment-box fill and a gorgeous one at that! Thank you so much for this, no need to hide in shame because it was awesome. Each stage of grief was a small punch to my sternum, and the last one, the acceptance of death and the lack of resentment towards Chell for having a chance to live is making me all wibbly. just what i needed. tl;dr: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Thank you OP and other reader anons. I'm thrilled that you guys liked it; I was terrified that it would be hated or at the very best begrudgingly accepted. I never would have pictured that the fill I wrote would be considered wonderful and heart-wrenching and I can't thank you guys enough for your kind reviews!

I forgot how heartbreaking that song really was. (No thanks to the fact some bitch decided not to give me back my The Little Toaster movies. GODDAMMIT, I HAD ALL THREE OF THEM, SOB, NOW THEY'RE /GONE/.)

Fact: this song has made me cry every single time I've watched the movie. I just rewatched it a month ago. I am 20 now. (that bitch!! I know the pain though, my copies got irreparably damaged when our shed leaked cryyy)
