It always bothers me in fanfics when Wheatley knows Chell's name, in spite of his apparent inability to read and her apparent inability to speak. So I want 'guessing game' fic, where he tries to figure it out by trial and error!

I always assumed that the GLaDOS chassis had data on her and it sort of fed him her name/other info. Obviously this would only work for after when he was hooked to her chassis, and I love the idea of him trying to guess her name~ very cute. Hoping this gets a cool written fill to go with the art one!

I always assumed he could read because he was able to write "Wheatley laboratories" on everything...

but either way this prompt is amazing ;)

Maybe he just knows his own name? or like there a few words he can recognize (Wheatley, Aperture, neurotoxin...) becuase he was just told what they were, but he can't actually understand the way the letters string together to make sounds?
