So there's this theory this anon has seen floated about where the Anger Core was originally meant to be, like, an Emotion Core, but got corrupted. And now anon wants to see something about this corruption. Mainly, a poor core gets installed in GLaDOS to make her feel JOY and LIGHT and HAPPINESS -- and GLaDOS breaks it down by showing it that no, no, that is not the way things are at ALL.

Hmmm, I might try this. I always thought it a little hard that the guys at Aperture were so far gone as to think giving GLaDOS an anger sphere was actually helpful...

“That’s the point, Doug!” Henry cuts in. “Who knows what damage could occur to the core - and to the machine, even - but that’s the point of science, isn’t it? Taking risks! Hoping things work!”

“Risk-taking isn’t supposed to be rampant, though,” Doug counters softly. “Risks should be eliminated early on….”

“That’s what we’re doing, Doug. We’re doing that - eliminating some of the risk of GLaDOS killing us - with this core. And you have no say in it, by the way - we’re attaching that core to Her tomorrow morning.”

right now:

HOLY BALLS. THAT WAS AMAZING. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT LEVEL OF EMOTION OR STORY TO BE SO ENTHRALLING TO ME. THE CHARACTERS WERE WONDERFULLY WELL MADE (i'm done with caps now) and Emotion's...emotions literally broke my heart as the little thing became corrupted. Doug and GLaDOS were spot-on; this story had me at the edge of my seat waiting for more. I feel like crying because this story is so sad, and that Emotion will never recover, but be thrown into an incenerator unceremonialously(sp?).

I'm...so sorry for ever doubting you...

I'm glad you thought Doug and Glados were good! I always feel a little insecure writing her because I feel like I'm not mean enough, but apparently I'm good at writing a psychotic AI. xD

Oh man, I hadn't even thought about Emotion/Anger's end in Portal when I wrote this... aw god. That IS sad. (Also - "unceremoniously" is the correct spelling. You stuck in an extra "al" there!)
