the other day, for about 5 minutes, I became acutely aware of the passage of time. how finite it is, how limited. when I was 10, I didn't think I'd ever make it to 15. now, I'm 20 and when I look back at 10, all the wonderful memories gently slip away. it's like this ... I find that breaking bread with people, or generally eating with them, is one of the best ways to friendship. I consider anyone, really, that I voluntarily eat with to be a friend. I also find that often one of the last things I know about someone is their name. You can know a good deal about someone but miss their name because it may not even come up.
