Richard Beer at the Hollywood Theatre still has not gotten back to me. brimtoast and I have decided that at this point it would be absurd if they gave the date to anyone else, so whether or not he confirms by then, Thursday(the 28th) is our latest possible date to go public. And I can make posts in the various relevant sections on Portland craigslist.

So what is our MOST official info, in terms of:
*Cost
*Events
*Just, in general, what to tell people. Do we have anything written up that I could use as inspiration, or should I start from scratch?

Cost: $5 donation greatly appreciated to pay for theatre rental, but not required.

Events: Most Newbies contest. I would like to do games, but we don't really have any, so that's up in the air. I guess we can just say something like, "activities during commercials" and figure out exactly which activities later today or tomorrow.

In general: It WILL be accesible to newcomers, no previous VM experience nescessary. Bring friends, good times to be had by all, etc. You might link to the ComiCon promo and/or the winner of the wvm.net promo contest.

Are we going to put up some flyers around town? I was thinking that I live near Mt. Hood comunity college, and I could put some flyers up there. Maybe someone else could put some up around PSU. Or maybe some downtown. But I'm not creative at all, and don't think I could come up with a pretty flyer. So maybe if someone on this list was into it, they could make the flyer, and have some of us other people put them out there. Just a thought, let me know what you think. Oh, and I think craigslist is a great idea too.

I also think a short recap of the first two seasons before we show the episode is a wonderful idea for those newcomers who have never seen it.

I have a flyer that filmtx customized for us from the Houson premier flyer. I can send you the PDF file, but first I need her to customize it one more time since the times have changed by a half an hour.

Thanks for the new flyers - they look good. I put a couple up over at Mt. Hood Community College, and I made some copies to put up around S.E. Portland.
