Restaurant suggestions?

citysearch is my favorite guide. As for restaurants for a fun, romantic dinner I like Tabla (tapas) or Acadia (New Orleans type food), or Oba. For fun romantic things to do around town durring the day, have you ever been to the Japanese Garden? It's a beautiful place, with lots of paths for romatic walks and wonderful views of the city. It's right across the street from the Rose Test Garden, which by the way is a great place for a romatic picnic lunch (which you could pick up at a place like Elephants Deli).

Thanks for the help! Ill check those places out.

For my bday lastyear, my bf took me to the rose garden and japanese gardens (during a thunderstorm, which made it even more memorable) but I think we might go again.

Clarklewis (SE Water Ave): This is the new, trendy, up-and-coming place in a district primed for gentrification, but you mustn't hold that against them. It really is very good - regional cuisine, heavily focused on local, organic ingredients, and as such, fairly vegetarian-friendly. And if you can't decide what to order, the chef will gladly select a menu for you.

Khun Pic's Bahn Thai (SE Belmont at 35th): This is the best restaurant in Portland. Period. In between some restaurants and bars and the nickel arcade, its facade is well-hidden behind a lush garden set in the wall. The restaurant ( ... )
