The Amish have something everybody needs (and I don't just mean dressy pants in which they can do real work). Experience is really the biggest slayer of religious absolute truth. The world is gray, a fact that doesn't necessarily rule out the possibility of faith, but makes dogmatic belief impractical if not ludicrous.
