Solstice post

On the night of the winter solstice, many of us stay up all night to watch the sun rise because there is a compact of sorts there -- the sun will return to light our world from its longest period of darkness, and we will be there, waiting, trusting that it will come. I believe that the majority of American public is far too lazy for a violent or bloody revolution. Perhaps if they offer some sort of plan involving apathy, then I'd revolt. Otherwise, generally agree, with different reasons for disliking the same things.

Also, other countries each have their own set of problems. If you're not willing to participate in trying to help where you are, you'll never be happy with wherever that is.
