UM is giving me $20k in awards (which includes bright futures, florida resident access grant, and some small loan). Umm... how do I cover the rest??? I applied for other scholarships on the side... but other than that... how do I cover the other $15k??? Anybody know??? Will the FAFSA do something for me, since my EFC is $7500?

Bright futures and florida access grants are automatic. You didn't get any other need-based grants? You could also maybe get a merit based scholarship there. I got 50% merit to UM, but I think I could argue my way to 75% now (since class ranks changed). You should call them. Your EFC is not that high.

You could always apply for a loan. It's a life-long contract, but I think it's worth it.
