I'm irritated

So I'm walking back from class today and this girl comes up to me and asks me if I have time for some questions and so I say yes. So she asks me do I believe heaven, and I say I'm not sure. Then she asks me if I was to go to heaven what would would be the reason and I said basically because I was a good person. She then said did it suprise me

I think I handled it in a mature way, but it's still offensive to me. I think it would help humanity if we sterilzed dumb people but I think that some would think thats offensive.

Yeah, although what Adam says is true, she was implying that because you're not Christian, you're going to hell. And if someone told that to you, would you not be offended?

I would totally be offended. My ex-boyfriend (who apparently I turned christian becuase he prayed things would work out between us and they did) is now super-christian and thinks I'm going to hell because I don't believe Jesus was the son of God.

I don't even believe in heaven and hell. I think heaven and hell is metaphorical... I have no regrets in my life. That's heaven enough. I believe in reincarnation... maybe karma. And that definately has to do with being a good person, not being let off the hook for all the bad shit you've done just because you "accept Jesus Christ into your heart as your savior."

BTW I haven't seen you around. We should totally have lunch sometime.

wow....this happened to me a few weeks ago too! i think college campuses are like a magnet for converters. sam, i think you handled it just fine. i mean, i understand where she's coming from, so i sympathize with her, but if she bothered you, you had ever right to scuff her off.
