Oof, I'm recovering from food poisoning I think. So much pooping, so little time. I missed two days of work (which is conveniently located in our basement), which left poor Mr Posh to do everything on his own. Missing work is so much more fun when you're not lying in bed wondering if a quick death would be better than these stomach cramps. I ate ( Read more... )

I don't know what's worse, the food poisoning or watching Young Frankenstein the Musical performed by local actors haha. Puttin' on the Ritzarrrrgh!

I'm going to go for the one that only lasts two hours! I'm sorry you've been sick, Poshy.

Haha, I can't believe that your youngest is graduating from high school. That doesn't seem humanly possible. But congratulations to her, and to you too!

Haha, you are so right - 2 hours is definitely better than 2 days!

You pretty much watched her grow up. Time slips away and leaves you with nothing mister but boring stories of...Buffy days. LOL.

How are you, dear? I think of you lots, in case you were wondering. :0)

I'm okay! Honestly, I'm so boring that you would be better off thinking about dryer lint, or local actors performing Young Frankenstein. (But I think about you all the time too, and I hope you'll let me sleep on your couch if Trump is elected president.)

It's always so nice to see you around here, even though it's because you have food poisoning. :/ Ugh.

I hope you're feeling better soon.

Want any show recs?

Or maybe fic recs? het_reccers has Doctor Who month right now, and there are quite a few good recs.

My friend igrockspock posted some Star Wars recs this week: http://igrockspock.livejournal.com/378829.html

Another friend wrote some good Star Wars herself, lately:

We're totally going to be the parents who turn her bedroom into a craft room like, 2 days after she moves out lolol. The trick is getting her to move out.

You poor thing! Get better soon.

You know, just yesterday I overheard some teenies talking about liking Buffy and I thought to myself: why, self, you haven't been around LJ in forever. I wonder how poshcat is doing?

Then I tried to talk to this thingy here, I believe they call it smartphoe, to show me my LJ. I might have been on a honest zo goodness personal computer the last time I logged in!

And there you are! Doing not exceptionally well at the moment, but doing! Yay!

It's always good to see you, but I wish this time it was for a better reason. ;)

And I don;t mind children growing up (they become so interesting and smart and stuff) but then you have to face them LEAVING and I am so not ready for that...

(My eldest is one year away from that!)

when she was cute and before she discovered sarcasm.
I'm sure ours discovered sarcasm as soon as they were able to speak. But then we taught them well...

Our oldest has been gone for a couple of years now, and it's really made a difference that we can Skype and text. We assumed she'd be terrible at being an adult, but she went and got MATURE and INDEPENDENT and stuff haha. It would be much harder if we weren't close and they just buggered off never to be heard from again. Then I might have to get a cat!
