Troublesome, more than anything else. It doesn't help that the order we recover them in is completely random.

So no context, huh.

None whatsoever. The best you can hope is that someone else remembers you and for them to be kind enough to share what they know with you.

Is that what was going on with you and the other me?

To a certain extent. We were rivals, you see.

How so? And how did you win back your memories, if you didn't play games?

There's a special team called Ophiuchus, divided in three sub-units, everyone on it works as enforcers and you receive memories for a task well performed.

Is that what you're on?

...

Oooh. Is Uraboros the team my other self is on?

That's it, precisely. Depending on how each sub-unit ranks at the end of a period our living facilities change, so the top tiers get all the nicest things.

That sounds like a pain in the ass. But I guess all you have to do is keep winning.

It's hard work. And not always very rewarding. But like I said, better than the alternative.

Which is?

Participating in traumatic games that will either leave you severely wounded, or... dead. People get brought back to life, but the revival is just as, if not more painful than the actual death.

Ick. People get brought back to life here, but I hear it's rather painless. Couldn't tell you for sure though.

Oooh. Alternate Shinra didn't mention that! I wonder if it's as interesting to watch as in Sabra, though.
