ok....so i want to post the pictures up on lj, but i need to shrink the pictures down. most of them are around 1.4mb, a little too large to be putting up. anyone got any ideas?

What image editing programs do you have available? Photoshop? Paint Shop Pro? Anything?

What image format are they in?

Basically you will need to load up the images convert them to jpeg and raise the compression ratio so the picture is a suitable size kilobyte wise.

If you don't have an image program, there is the GIMP which is free software. And I can walk you through that if you don't have anything.

goto download.com, search for "irfanview"

it is a free, small utility that resizes pictures.

load the picture into it, hit 'ctrl" + R, and type in the new size.

i use it to resize all my pictures.

Go download GIMP. It's almost as good as Photoshop and it is free.

We use it where I work...
