Oh man, knitting is all kinds of addictive. I even think about it sometimes when I can't knit or have to work on something else. Have you discovered Ravelry yet? It's GENIUS!!

I have a lot of work anxiety dreams, and lately, there's been this reoccuring one where I'm being chased through a giant yarn market by upper management. The only place I can hide is behind the Phentex, but if I reach out, just a little, to pet that bamboo yarn, that one right there, they find me. It was funny the first time, but now I'm just sick of it.

So, yes, knitting: addictive. I knew right when I started I'd give up or become obsessed. I think Ravelry is the reason for the yarn dreams: left to my own devices, I'd probably never venture away from acrylic. I should update my projects page, though.

Ravelry really is addicting and probably totally responsible for your yarn dreams. I'm convinced I will die bankrupt but with an amazing stash of lovely yarns. But it's also a lot of fun. I'm anglaisepaon there, too, if you feel like adding me.

This adding-of-people is, for me, a previously undiscovered feature. Oh Ravelry, you do suck me in.
I've added you. I'm UberTumbleweed. Alas, my account is devoid of pictures, until I actually get that damn camera out and use it!

I learned to crochet a few years ago. I make potholders. I'll branch out eventually, but I've got a fair list of people who want potholders, and I'm slow. Or lazy :)

I get bored with repetitive patterns quickly, which is, I think, why I branched out so quickly after starting. And since I don't really have many hobbies, I could put the time into it. You seem to do something of everything: I think I'd stil be fighting the most basic knit stitches after a few years if I did as much as you.

And I'm really happy when I'm doing the same pattern again, because I don't get as stressed about "is this going to work?"

I'm not doing something of everything, I have way more ideas that I dump onto LJ than I actually get done.
