the green is so beautifully verdigris-tarnished-bronze and that works v. prettily with the burnt orange

That background is like copper that has oxidized beautifully.

N'awww, thank you! The background was mostly a matter of messing around with transparency on a rough-rusty sort of base texture, but I was surprised by how well it came out.
