Thank goodness it's Friday, Katie thought to herself as she made for the Floo at the Ministry. After working hard all week on multiple projects for the Secretary, Katie was looking forward to a night of pure fun and debauchery. After all, even if she worked like an old maid, it didn't mean she had to act like one after hours, too.
She was looking forward to having her friends at her place, even if it meant she had to do the cleaning up afterward, because there wasn't anything better than hosting a party when you were both exhausted and in need of a good, stiff... drink, among other things. With the week of work mostly behind her, Katie stepped into the Floo and was instantaneously transported to her flat.
Appearing in the Floo, Katie quickly cleaned herself off and put her things away in the bedroom, realising that she had only about five minutes before people were supposed to arrive. Leanne was busy in the kitchen, so Katie jumped quickly into the shower to scrub off the scent of stale coffee and Ministry parchment.
Just as she was getting out of the shower, Katie heard something from the living area, so she scurried quickly in her towel to her bedroom and closed the door, as well as the curtains to the balcony. She dressed quickly, pulling her simple drop-waist cocktail dress over her head and smoothing it. Instead of fussing with her hair, Katie pulled it back into a chic chignon and was done with it. She quickly refreshed her make-up and headed out to the kitchen to help Leanne.
