Charlie's Portkey from China departed very late but it was still early enough in England that his dad was still at his desk when Charlie dropped in to let him know he was back safe and sound. He borrowed an inter-office memo to send Attie a note letting her know he was finally back and on his way to her flat to clean up and grab a bit of rest.
After using up what had to be almost all of her hot water and shaving off his accumulated scruff, Charlie borrowed Elphie to send a promised owl to George asking if he'd like to get pints tomorrow and flopped down naked on 'his' side of Athena's bed. The new tattoos of the Welsh Green on his right bicep and the Hebridean Black on his right pelvis were still a little tender. Boomer, the Black, was a huge flirt and Charlie wondered if it had been a wise choice putting him so close to Zi, the female Fireball on his right thigh. Marilyn jumped up and curled up by his head on Attie's pillow and not long after that, Charlie was sound asleep.
