RP: Working Dinner

It was, perhaps, one of the more familiar scenes that had returned to the flat--a layer of manila and white spread across the floor, some hovering, other scrolls unfurling and rolling up again on their own. Ovelia's dinner of baked chicken, steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes was being kept warm on the stove next to a fresh pot of tea. The record player, now getting almost more use than the radio, was playing one of the songs Percy nearly knew the words to. Something about The Phoenix City and someone leaving. There were lilly pads and jade pools there too.
Percy was just sorting through what promised to be a good round of new candidates for the program as well as new healers. Shameless as it had a been, a number had asked him about the program while he was at St. Mungo's and he'd dropped their names in for consideration with Alistair, since everything was, after all, his final decision when it came down to it. The problem was after recent events there had been a flood of applications for service and sorting through had taken him this long.
Sighing, and wanting more than ever to be done with it to finalize his Valentine's Day ideas, he was brought from his reveirie by a knock on the door.
