"We should elope." Percy said finally, after, for the millionth time they tried to combine cultures and ceremonies into something that would placate both ends of the family. They had literally done nothing but talk and plan for almost a week.
At first, things had still seemed to float in the realm of the hypothetical: "If papa can get this relative to come," and "We could always set things up at the Burrow," until after a pile of discarded parchment began to spell out something painful but obvious. If they didn't elope, they'd have choose: a temple in Chinatown or The Burrow. And as much as Percy knew the news alone would have Molly dancing for joy (at least after the same remonstrations Bill received) that joy would dissipate the moment talk of shrines and offerings and incredibly elaborate clothing came into the discussion. He'd loose them at the time he wanted them most--the same way Cho would loose her father at talk of arbors and tents.
Cho didn't reply. Percy stood from the kitchen table and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Sounds perfect for fools having a party, don't you think?" Of course this was a joke by now, something that they'd giggled into the pillows about after making love. "Hmm, Qiu?"
