Charlie dropped off his broom and the second hand Quidditch kit he'd recently bought for a song off a Romanian mate of his who purchased a new set. Charlie had teased him about always having to have the newest gear but his friend's passion for new things had resulted in Charlie getting some awesome deals over the years. The Firebolt Charlie rode had once belonged to that friend too, until he'd had to have an even faster and fancier Russian racing broom and sold his perfectly good and excellently maintained Firebolt to Charlie for a fraction of what it cost new. Charlie wasn't about to give up his broom, but the new-used Quidditch kit would be left at the Burrow. He intended it to replace the one that had been pretty scruffy back when Dad had bought second hand for Charlie and Bill to play around with when they were little. It was past time to retire it, Charlie thought. It would also help Ginny if she had better equipment to practice with before her try-outs.
After he'd kissed Mum, he'd left again to go grab the food and refreshments. Mum had kicked up a bit of a fuss about that, but he'd insisted that if he was going to be inviting people, he should be the one paying to feed them. It wasn't as if he didn't save nearly every Knut he earned anyway. It was as much a chance to do something fun with his youngest brother and sister who'd been incarcerated at Hogwarts most of the time he'd been back in Britain, as it was an excuse to play Quidditch and reconnect with friends and the rest of his family.
Charlie started setting things up after his second trip. He figured folks would start turning up around five o'clock when those that worked would be getting off.
