The weekend had been fairly packed with a large party renting out about half the pub for a work celebration on Friday, two birthday parties on Saturday and with several families coming in for Sunday brunch. Rosie spent the three days hustling in the kitchen, mixing drinks and musing with her customers; it was wonderful. Three whole days without any baby thoughts, dreams, or crying. However, she kept thinking she wanted something that she couldn't quite put her finger on.
She wanted chocolate, so she made a molten chocolate cake for dessert one day, chocolate waffles another as well as chocolate biscuits for tea, but none of it was right. It was as if she couldn't remember what she wanted. So she was sitting in the kitchen, carving something chocolate, cool and easy to eat. Fudge? she thought, shaking her head. Ice cream? Closer-
"Milkshake!" she said out loud. Knowing what she wanted, she stood and began combing the icebox for milk, ice cream and cocoa syrup and all she had was the milk and cocoa syrup. "I will just go buy some," she said slipping out of the back door and onto the streets of Hogsmeade.
