Characters: Justin Finch-Fletchley, Susan Bones Date: September 10th 2000 Location: Justin's flat Status: Private Warning: None Summary: Justin invited Susan over for dinner. Completion: incomplete
"Hiya, Justin, it's Susan," she called from the door. She'd stopped on the way to his flat to get ice cream for dessert and was flushed from running the last mile or so. She was excited to see a good friend and happy to have dinner on a night she wasn't at practice. Most nights when she wasn't playing, Susan was either working or had a light tea with Shaeleigh at home before taking a long soak in the tub, but tonight it was good to be out at a friend's and have him cook for her. And from the smell of things, Justin was making something Italian and it smelt goooood.
"Hey, come in!" he greeted her as he opened the door, definitely happy to see her after all that time. "Gosh you look good, Susan, how are you doing?" Justin asked, grinning at her as she entered the flat he lived in a bit further. "It's been so long.." He wondered if he should hug her, after all neither of them were kids anymore.
"Good to see you!" Susan grinned and pecked him on the cheek. "I'm great now that I'm here." She pushed her way through the door and hugged him before either of them could even think about it. It had been far too long since she'd seen him, but she felt as if he were still one of her closest friends. After all, they'd lived and worked and studied in Hufflepuff together for so long, he was a good friend regardless of the time between them.
"I brought ice cream," she held it up, triumphantly. "I hope you like strawberry."
Justin bit his lower lip. "Strawberry, my favorite, how did you guess?" he asked teasingly, grinning as it seemed like no time at all had been spent since the last time they saw each other. It was still just as comfortable as it was at school and Justin was quite happy that it remained unchanged.
"I hope you like Italian, because that's what we're eating tonight." he told her, winking as he back away from her to return to the kitchen. "Come on in, please feel comfotable, I've got nothing to hide." He stirred the sauce and started setting the plates before going to the icebox to retrieve his Parmesan cheese.
