"You steal my clothes!" "We have a barter system."

Yesterday was quite refreshing! I had to report to Jury Duty in downtown Conroe, which is very small but quaint all the same. Hitting two flies with one slap, I also managed to get my car registered while there. I really enjoy walking around in small towns, given the weather is permitting. *__* The barber sits outside his shop, taking a smoke, ( Read more... )

Ahaha it's interesting to read your account of Conroe; I got very different impressions last time I was there. Maybe it was my sister / her friend.
That's cute though.. & the weather was so nice yesterday on top of that!

I haven't seen the movie yet but this makes me reeeaaally want to. Somehow it just seems impossible for the actors they've chosen to disappoint.

Also .. lol @ Holmes/Watson. I'm superficial so it helps that RDJ & Jude Law are so attractive 8D;;

Haha, what were your impressions of it, if I may ask? I was obviously just walking the streets (hmm doesn't sound right) around the Courthouse and Crighton Theatre and such. There really isn't much there if you compare it to The Woodlands, of course. The majority of buildings are just offices and I did spend a while walking around looking for a place to eat. (stomach was growling in the courtroom ahh embarrasing!) But it reminded me of a small town I lived near as a child and idk FOND MEMORIES//

also i don't get out much

Oh goodness, you should see it! When I initially heard about the movie, I wasn't super enthused to watch it (at least in the theatres)...but then it got decent reviews and so I gave it a go. 8) There's definitely a charm about it. Bromance. and yeah, RDJ & Jude Law are ehmmm exceptionally attractive *_*;;

Next on my To-See List: AVATAR! 8D

Dang, must be civil duty season! Everyone else there was like, 40+ and opinionated so I was obviously eliminated from the stands. ;__; Boo, and I so wanted to partake in this! Only 6 were chosen from about ~25, so I don't feel too bad, but still...

I did have a nice day. Partly because I didn't have to work (lol), and partly because I got shit done! It's always nice to feel accomplished.

Sounds lovely~ :] Yeah, that area of Conroe is kinda neat, I know I've been there once, can't say I remember why though.. hmm..

Dude! I ended up seeing Sherlock Holmes last night too! :D and I totally second everything you've just said about it XD I'm not really sure how quite to put this, but I kinda found Holmes' crazy intelligence to be kinda, well, sexy XD

Yes! Regarding Conroe, it wasn't mind-blowingly AMAZING or anything. But! I certainly have appreciation for smaller towns where the locals are a bit more personable. Large cities can get kinda overwhelming for me, where everyone is treated rather anonymously. In contrast, I guess I forget how large and urbanized The Woodlands has become!

YUSS! I'm glad you saw it, so you know where I'm coming from/going with this whole thing, ahahaha! I was also quite amused how Holmes was not thrilled at the prospect of Watson moving out, and trying to persuade him that life with anyone else would be unsuitable! //i.e. fave scene with fortune-teller. "AND WHAT OF THE WARTS? ARE THEY EXTENSIVE!?!" and doilies everywhere.

Conroe's not that small of a town, it actually covers quite a bit more area (officially) than The Woodlands does, but with just about half the population. The main difference is that The Woodlands is 100% new commercial construction, which takes away all of the charm and most of the possibility for that down-home cordiality that you enjoyed in Conroe. I've eaten at that same cafe before too, I think it's the only place to eat in that area around the court house, lol. I bet they do very well there ( ... )

Good god, man! Why must you insist on being so knowledgeable? Nonetheless, I do enjoy what you have to say on such matters & I hope to be as well-informed as you one day.

The movie has definitely inspired me to take a look into the original novels! Holmes is fascinating and I MUST DISSECT HIM as a character. But uh, there is also talk of Brad Pitt playing Moriarty in the sequel?! Hopefully this is some type of CRUEL joke because...what...who even...I REFUSE!

Maybe it already was Brad Pitt in the first movie! You don't know who that was in the carriage with their face in the shadows!

...although I guess if you went to IMDB it probably says who it was. But that's beside the point!
