I have met death,
wandering these festering streets
She is timid, yet merciless
in the taking of her tolls
And I have traveled,
made the strategic journey to hell
It's path, a stunning beauty,
the destination so horrific
So it stands,
we have no one to blame,
except these ill-equipped heavens
for our blasphemous misfortunes

In all of these vacant years
darling, please know I have been touched
My God, I have been touched
But never since, have I been so moved
to the caliber you moved me
And through this, I find
sedation is so necessary
For this longing pulses,
runs hard through my savage existence
And this body, once my temple
has so, become my tomb

In the fragile position of a fetus
I am coiled into myself
Precious and warm
This womb is severed and pealed away
A once righteous haven
This belly now hangs
A passage into an unforgiving universe
