I also rarely come to LiveJournal these days, though it used to be my main hangout for many years a while back.
I'm not on Facebook much either but others might be. I think Facebook isn't what it was three years or so ago, either; from what I've heard, a number of especially younger people now go to places such as SnapChat, WhatsApp, Instagram, or other more ephemeral sites rather than Facebook, and Facebook is for the "oldies", 30 and above -- the ones who used to be young when Facebook was....
Of course, that likely describes most of us, given how long LiveJournal has been around: those that joined in the heyday of LJ will be a bit older than 15 now, I wager.
I'm still on LJ regularly, but I know a lot of people aren't, so I understand wanting to move to Facebook. I will say though that another postcard-trading group I'm in did that and a bunch of bad swappers who wouldn't even return cards ended up joining, so I am a little wary of Facebook postcard groups after that experience.
