Well. I've been having this very strange thing with my eyes and it's been getting worse over the past year or so. Now up to about twice a week. Well, 2004 would have convinced me, if I'd held any doubt at all, that there is no god and if things are going to get better, it's up to us. So time and money where my mouth is for 2005.

Our trip up the coast was absolutely perfect. We saw a ribbon snake, elephant seals, dolphins, hawks, and rabbits. And flowers. So many pretty flowers. We hiked a 7 mile trail with a 30% grade that went up 1200 ft--and I wasn't sore. We sat on pristine beaches for hours and read in a soft sea breeze. We ate many kinds of really good food. So, had a party last night with the Squad and friends. I had fun, I hope the other people did too. One nice thing about throwing a party, you get your house really clean.

Then we're going up north for a few days so we'll come back to a nice looking place. I'm now on three weeks vacation from work and it's WONDERFUL!

My friend got married yesterday and it was really one of the few I've ever been to (especially including my own) where I had fun. There were people I knew to talk with and they had a murder mystery in the middle and nobody was expected to dance with Uncle Ned. The food was good, the wine was unending, it was great.
