I've just arrived this evening at my aunt and uncle's beautiful house in Napa, after five days in Bethesda, four in Seattle, and about two and a half in San Francisco. I'm here (with the exception of a brief trip to Sonoma) until Sunday, when I return to Chicago. A more extensive post-mortem (or should I say post-modem?) is forthcoming. Suffice

As soon as you wake up, look at the sun. It's glowing a ghastly orange through the smoke of a huge forest fire burning about 80 miles south of the City. It's something special.

Also, I swear that the weather in San Francisco is this nice only about 5% of the time.
