so i was biscuit at work today... in costume. anyway, i just... was floored. one of the toddlers there--she couldn't have been more than 3--her name was Persephone. Persephone. How... unusual. I mean, I haven't heard of anyone named Persephone since, well... Persephone.

Anyway. Just wanted to share that.

I don't think I can even say that, much less name my kid after her. But hey, maybe I'm not fresh up on my Greek mythology. ;)

Hm. Iiiiinteresting. It's a cool name, though, as long as people don't call her "Percy" and tease her in elementary school. I wonder if it's okay to name girls Hestia and Gaia, then?

(I kind of want a lesbian daughter, just so I can name her Sappho.)
