After a 7 day drinking binge..my mother went into rehab/detox. She recently got out and is in intense therapy and AA meetings. She's being nice to me, so I guess I can't complain. It's just so fucking weird having my mom sober for literally--the first time in my life

i'm not trying to be mean or anything, but if your mom is an alcoholic and it disappoints you so much, why would you take up drinking yourself? one would think seeing what alcohol does to people might sort of be a deterrent...

I drink to have fun.
I don't drink to get totally fucked up.
I hardly drink anyway.
& I would never let myself become dependent on alcohol.
Alcohol isn't the problem..people are the problem.
If you can take care of yourself and drink and party once in awhile, then that's fine. If you can't-then don't drink. That's the way I see it.

yeah that's true! as long as you keep it under control. some people just have addictive personalities i guess. just wondering anyway, hope that didn't offend you :)
