Quick addition to the previous post: the LED flasher circuit that I dug out of the Brit Box seems to flash from 1-4 times, then pause. Some example number sequences: 3 4 4 4 1 4 1 1, 1 1 3 2 4 2. Any thoughts about that, folks? I am painfully ignorant of math. Now I see why I shouldn't have dropped the subject in grade 10. :) Also, there are three ( Read more... )

If you can somehow connect British alternative pop with whatever that web page is about, you'll be well on your way to explaining this whole thing. :)

I think they're absolutely numbers of some kind. *helpful*

Thanks, spacekat. You're pretty awesome yourself. May the sun never set on your solar arrays.

The sequence doesn't seem all that remarkable, mathematically.

I think it is more likely set to blink in tune to something.

Now that is an intensely interesting idea, and one I find nearfetched.

Since it's probably not a Gamma ray detector... orb2069 July 23 2010, 00:23:26 UTC
I'd try phone camming the LEDs and unplugging it, then plugging it in and letting it run for a minute or so - then unplugging it again and plugging it back in immediately to run for a minute or so.
Side-by-side the videos and see if the sequence is the same.
- If not, it's probably just some form of dodgy system. Try tossing it in the freezer overnight and see if that makes it any more regular.
- If it does the same sequence twice, that's probably going to be more interesting - and the sequence will probably be a lot easier to crack from the beginning with a larger sample size and timing-related video.
