Ha, I can see how you got that impression, but no, the mason jar full of water was just a handy prop for illustrating scale and diffusing the light in an interesting way. Although now you mention it, it'd be easy to glue the screw-on ring onto the bottom...

They also have these lights which are basically a frosted mason jar, an LED and a solar panel attached to a rechargeable battery. You're supposed to put them in your yard.
