I just don't get it

I can't for the life of me figure out why so many people love The Hold Steady. I've heard about 10 of their songs, and frankly, I've never been impressed. I've given them alot of time to get into my system, as some music can do. I think I've done everything short of going to one of their shows or buying an album to try and understand this.

um, it's wierd because everyone on the internet is obsessed... i thought someone would say something by now.

i think they're super awesome. it may come from thinking that lifter puller was awesome and then this is sort of a newer lifter puller with a couple of different dudes and a couple of old dudes but a similar feel but more nostalgic or something with religion and drugs and sex? i don't know why i like it so much... maybe the intensity and the feeling like you're 16 or 17 again and so much !rock! that it kinda hurts a little but then there is the whole being absolved feeling when ever there is organy sounds or that lady singing...

that was really bad sentence structure. and i am referring to the last record because i haven't really heard much of the new one.
