Family/History: Gabrielle grew up in the farming village of Potadeia in Greece. She always felt out of step with everyone in the village. When a bard came through town she knew what she wanted to do, but women bards were extremely rare and it wasn't a practical career for a village girl. When Xena saved them from Draco's men, Gabrielle knew her only chance to be what she wanted to become was to follow Xena. She ran away and convinced the Warrior Princess to let her travel with her. Through their journeys, Gabrielle has become an Amazon Queen, learned yoga and the teachings of Eli in India, fought Caesar's army and was crucified. She and Xena were Angels of the Light for a brief time until Eli brought them back to life. Gabrielle entered the village not long after coming back to life.
