[RL WITH ITALY]

Germany had given it a while after his talk with Maraich before heading out to find Feliciano. This was mostly due to the fact that as soon as he'd returned from said talk, he'd found a post from Prussia that sent everything he thought he'd established off the tracks yet again. It had been about a week, though, since he'd had that revealing Read more... )

Italy had not been sleeping well at all ever since his visit to see Germany; he hadn't been eating much either, two signs that something was truly wrong. Everything Germany had said kept coming back to haunt him, reminding him of all the things he'd done that had managed to hurt Germany.

And then there had been Prussia's revelation, and he didn't even know what to make of it. Among everything else, Italy was left wondering if what he'd said was really true, and if that meant he'd managed to screw things up even more than he'd realized.

He wasn't really surprised when he woke up with a major fever and a painful cough.

When the doorbell rang, he went to answer it with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, since the house felt cold wherever he went. When he opened the door, he blinked in surprise, his heart leaping a little at who stood on the other side. "Germany?"

Germany paused when Feliciano opened the door. He didn't know what to say, what to do. He'd planned words out in his head, but they were just words and they had left him as he looked down at the smaller nation. He figured the first step, however, would be to get into the house so as to not have this conversation on the doorstep.

"Hello, Italy," he said, softly. "May I come in?"

Italy nodded quickly, stepping aside so Germany could walk inside. His heart felt like it was beating a little faster; he couldn't help but feel hopeful that maybe this would be the end of all the weirdness between them.

"Come on in," he said, voice rough from his cough.

Germany noticed that Italy's voice was rough, but his mind was preoccupied on the task at hand--talking to him. He just assumed that he'd woken the other nation up, since he was wrapped up in a blanket after all. He nodded, and followed Italy into the house. He had been there before, but not for a while, not since Italy was practically at his house every day anyway.

"I talked to Maraich," he said, awkwardly, not knowing whether they were going to just stand there in the hallway, or move onto some other room of the house, "and now I'm here to talk to you. I-is that alright?" He felt very distanced from the other nation at that moment, despite the fact that he was standing right in front of him.
