[RL WITH ITALY]

Germany stood outside Italy's front door, and fidgeted. It was ridiculous, really. He was a tall, fit, military man, and here he was, hesitating on something as simple as knocking and alerting the other of his presence there. Maybe it had something to do with their date, though... The date that Germany was supposed to be picking Italy up to go off ( Read more... )

Italy had also been making sure he'd be absolutely ready for this, though he was less anxious and more mind-bogglingly excited. Because he was going on a date! With Germany! Whom he adored and made him feel warm and happy and squishy whenever he was near.

When he heard the knock, he was in the middle of making sure he looked alright (he'd also settled for not-casual-not-fancy-just-nice clothes); once he'd heard it, he zoomed to the front door and swung it open, beaming brightly. "Germany!!!"

Germany froze. He didn't know what he should do. Italy looked...nice. He was dressed kind of in the same level of not-quite-fancy that Germany had, which reassured Germany a little bit. But. What were they supposed to do now? Germany had left choosing the place to Italy, because Italy wanted to go somewhere Italian and well, who better to leave in charge of something like that than Italy, so. Germany'd really only planned up until the knocking part, and now the floor was pulled out from underneath him.

He thrust the box with the cake inside it at Italy. "Here," he said, not very smoothly at all. "This is for you." Only after did he realize that he hadn't even said hello yet. Well, this night was already going splendidly...

Italy didn't care at all if Germany was being smooth or not, instead taking the box with a squeal of delight. "Ooh, thank you Germany! Let me see what it is," he said, undoing the box with a look of eager anticipation on his face. When he saw the cake, his face split into a giant happy smile. "It looks so yummy! Veh, thank you so much!"

Germany blushed. "It's nothing, really. It might not even taste good. It's just something I made with what I had in the house." Which was a lot, really, since Germany liked to bake, but he wasn't going to go into detail about that.
