While we're in no risk from the flood here, we sure don't have to walk very far to get a look at it. We went for a walk a few hours ago up the road. The park up there is completely under water and by the time we left they were redirecting people because the water on the road was getting too deep to drive through.

Again, I am so so so glad you're in a relatively good place. I just... I've never seen flooding as bad as some of the pictures going up on the internet. People are dying.

It's pretty insane. We just went for a walk up again to check on the flooded places. They've blocked off that road in the last picture I put up now, because there's now a small river across it.

It's kind of hard for me to get my head around, because we never get anything here. I've never lived anywhere where natural disasters/bad weather have really been of much concern.

I am really glad that our place is safe, though. So many people are in danger or suffering from property damage, but we've been lucky enough to not really be directly affected.

Glad you're safe, scary to think of all that being so close to you. Some of the pictures/clips I've seen have been terrible.

That's terrible... although your dog is adorable. I'm glad you, your family and home are safe! wtf poor playground. Also, those people driving through the water have balls. I would not drive through water that deep. I'd be worried about stalling my car or losing control of it.

Yeah, a lot of people were turning around instead of driving through it. I took this picture a few hours later, after they'd blocked off that bit of the road entirely and were turning people around: http://potatoe1988.deviantart.com/#/d36zxof

So we don't have a road anymore, but we do have our own lake.
