Baby rats have names now!

Okay, I finally got around to naming the baby rats. I let Petra name one because she's my bitch, and I let naatz name one because, well, she was rather insistent. The rest are named after characters from fiction/webcomics that I like.

Oh hello! You guys actually have way more genetic variety over there with lots of different colours and dumbo ears and neat stuff like that. But it's true, mine are still the best blind squirmy little creatures.

I'd send you a dozen to declare my love, but I only have 10.

On the one hand, I might have chosen to switch the names Jack and Tesla... I think Tesla makes a lovely girl's name, and in fact I have read a very cute children's graphic novel where the female android is named Tesla. On the other hand, I kind of love the idea of a female rat named Jack. Badass.

Yesss they are the best rats. Most of 'em have cooler markings than pet shop rats - at least the kind we get a pet shops around here. Most pet shop rats are just regular hooded types like Kass.

I didn't think of Tesla as a girl's name, actually. I may have done the naming differently if I had, though I do think brown suits the name best, and black suits Jack... so I guess I am happy with things how they are.

Flemeth, Keyd and Pepper are the ones with what I would consider 'special' markings. Good eye, sir. Darwin was marked similarly to Flemeth and Keyd.
