I now feel a sense of compassion for the writer of the "worst review ever". I always wondered what it would be like to leave a harsh review on a fangirl-infested fic. Now I know. And while it's quite hilarious (especially concerning reviewers who stick out their "tounges" and "waggil" their ears at me in threat), it's not something that I'd want to do frequently at all.

And begging for ideas in exchange for cameos...it's not the first time that an author has gotten stuck for what to do in a fanfic story. As for me, I can't publish ANY story until it's absolutely complete, since I come up with parts of the story out of order, which helps me to piece together a structure instead of trying to write myself into a plot.

I wonder if the PPC could recruit the adult!exposition!child and have her point out all of the things wrong with the Sue.

"Miss, begging your pardon, but shouldn't it be breathed"W-well...I was being creative...and ( ... )

Marissa is actually a good name for a 16th-century woman, providing that she's Spanish or Italian, instead of English, like Jack, as she appears to be. But don't even get me started on the "It's related to the ocean so it's appropriate for a pirate!" thing. If that was true, this Sue would be named Submarine or Scuba. My name means "Star of the Sea", but can you imagine a pirate Sue named Marika running around?! Of course not. Too Japanese-sounding and modern.

I love how the kid can say "Alissa" and "survived" but can't manage "Marissa".

she noticed a young girl about three years old wandering towards her, looking very lost. Now, she may be a lady pirate, but she wasn't completley heartless. She approached the young girl, wondering why she was outside all alone.

If I was a lady pirate, the first thing that would come into my mind would be "Ransom!" not "let's earn us some brownie points,"

When I was two or three I couldn't say "brother." I didn't end up calling my older brother "bro" I ended up with "bubby."

Yeah and when I was that age, I couldn't pronounce my own name, "Caroline", and I ended up with "Tan". With a long A-sound, like in "calm".

No, I don't know why. But I think it's kinda cute. :D

"The new Name is *drum roll* MARISSA!!! It means Of the sea, so don't go and say that it isnt a pirate name, because if you do, ill sick my army of starfish at you."

I wonder how many more names there are out there meaning "of the sea". Wasn't that Marina who threw herself overboard fulfilling her destiny or something, because her name meant "of the sea"?

Marissa and Alissa got a few wierd looks from passers-by as they approached a large house.

I'll bet it was because of their rhyming names.
