Game Rules

Read these carefully before joining.

Rules

I. Posting

- Posting is required at least once every two weeks, unless you are on a hiatus. While this is hardly an unreasonable requirement, everyone has their off times. Thus going for two weeks without posting gets you a warning, and the next two weeks without posting another. The third time this happens, you lose your character. Posting regularly for four two-week cycles will reset the number of warnings
- If you know beforehand you cannot post for your character regularly, you can go on semi-hiatus or full hiatus. If you are on semi-hiatus, you are expected to post at least once every three weeks. If you are on a full hiatus and post, we will consider you either on semi-hiatus or returned. For hiatuses longer than a month or semi-hiatuses longer than two months at a time you should contact a mod beforehand. Hiatus is not a way to hold onto your character without posting.

II. Taking characters

- Each player is allowed up to 5 characters. You must wait at least a month between the characters to show that you can keep up with the game. Everyone is allowed to have 3 characters, however, if the mods feel a player has been having trouble keeping up with the posts, they may refuse to allow a fourth (and fifth) character for that player.

- You can take two characters right away but after that you have to be active for 8 weeks before you can apply for another character.

III. God-moding

- Godmoding another character is absolutely not allowed. Stating anything significant involving another player's character without the other player's permission is godmoding. For example, saying that you saw a particular Day Class student at lunch is not godmodding as they're likely to turn up for lunch, but saying that they fell down the stairs is godmodding and thus not allowed.

IV. Ideas/Plots/Changes

- Any major plots and events, especially (but not only) when they involve more than one character, should be accepted by the mods first. We welcome any new ideas, though, so unless there is a clear reason to refuse, chances are the plot idea will be okayed.

V. Hurting/Killing/etc characters

- Killing characters is not allowed unless you have a permission from one of the mods.
- Hurting other players character is a no if you don't have a permission from the other player. This includes violence and blood drinking.
- Turning your character into a vampire is also forbidden without the permission of a mod. Remember that only pureblood vampires can turn humans into vampire.

VI.

- Keep IC drama IC. If another character hates your character or is mean to them, it is not the same as that character's player being mean to you personally. Always remember that IC and OOC are separate.
