I really liked Book 7 Malfoys. Unpleasant, self-centred people who stick together. They and Redeemed!Dudley were made of WIN :D

I think Lucius might be strict with Draco at times, but I doubt he'd go to the extent of the Cruciatus Curse. That having been said Lucius is definitely not nice to house-elves and Draco, seeing what he can do to them, might stay in line just in case, but the spoiled-rotten-especially-by-Narcissa thing would probably serve as an effective counterweight :P

You're right.

Lucius Malfoy may be the George W. Bush of the Wizarding World (all cane and no thestrals), but he's not a child-abuser. That was for Riddle/Voldemort.
