Good Evening my fine friends.
It has been a glorious day for the Potter Journal so we felt that it was time for a bit of an update. It’s been awhile since a movie, we know. Projects, life, school, destroying Death Eaters all seem to get in the way.
So what have we been up to you may ask?
First off, Dani has been working on a CD cover for an extremely fantastic band,
The Switchblade Kittens. This album will be based on Meg Cabot’s The Princess Diaries. We recommend not only buying the album when it comes out, but rather buying at least 10 copies. To see the cover art go
here. Keep an eye out for that CD release. It’s sure to be good.
Speaking of CDs, The Fantastic
Whomping Willows have a new CD coming out soon which is sure to be awesome. One more reason it’s going to be awesome, we’re collaborating to do cover art for the album. WROCK! If you haven’t pre-ordered a copy, what are you waiting for!? Hop to it!
We can’t thank Whompy enough for how great he’s been to us lately. He just so happens to be giving us an opportunity to do our first ever live puppetation at Phoenix Rising. One song at Storyville will be puppetized. We assure you, it’ll be special. Thanks Matt for giving us a chance. =) We’ve been feeding puppets Skele-Gro all afternoon in order to make them proper sized for Phoenix Rising. Don’t take our word for it, check it out…
Next up, our Texas Tour Diary has invoked some extremely interesting responses. To all of our new found friends in Texas, we feel your pain and we’re just as wrock starved as you. I suggest you go look at a certain willow tree’s tentative tour dates and see what he may have in mind. Nothing definite, but at least we have someone thinking about heading our way (FINALLY!) If you want to leave comments about being bummed about the lack of wrock in our area, that’s cool with us, but the people who really need to be hearing our concerns is, of course, the wrock bands. Go leave a comment on bands you’d love to see come and play. Lurking quietly can only do so much. We need to band together to show that Texas fans can wrock just as hard as the North East.
Lastly, Dani has recently discovered and fallen in love with an adult Harry Potter, sometimes wizard rock, podcast. Explicit content warning. She thinks it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.
AlleyCast, go listen if you’re of age. Which by the way, the wizrocklopedia
“Wrock Club” podcast is to record again before to long. You may want to get in on the action. Exclusive Potter Journal stuff that you won’t find anywhere else?... perhaps. Tune in and find out.
